| Though force-based seismic design can ensure reinforced concrete frame structure,the economic losses caused were very enormous.Under such a background,Performance-Based Seismic Design(PBSD)is proposed.PBSD is making the structure satisfied with the different performance objects during the lifetime.In this paper,By quantifying the performance indexes,which points out the deformation control design for an important way to achieve PBSD.A reinforced concrete frame structure is design by the displacement-based seismic design method.According to the“There Level”principles,we classified the building into“serviceability”,“life safety”and“collapse protection”there levels.Next,we can get inter-story displacement angle limits according to the new code.After that,these cases will be calculated and analyzed.And we will compare with the result of forced-based seismic design.Analysis showed that the amount of reinforcement is similar between“serviceability”method and force-based seismic design method and increasing the amount of reinforcement to ensure the structure not collapse according to“collapse protection”method.The displacement-based seismic design method reveals its superiority by the flexibility of the amount of reinforcement.In order to verify the rationally of deformation controlled PBSD method,this paper elaborated the principles and procedures of capacity spectrum method and incremental dynamic analysis(IDA)method,Finite element analysis software SAP2000 is employed to establish reinforced concrete frame structure finite element model,the nonlinear behavior of the structure was taken into account.The two methods both can accurately evaluate the weakness and the destructive situation under high earthquake,so they were considered as effective method for the performance-based design.Through the establishment of the“There Level” of performance evaluation parameters.The capacity spectrum method can quickly evaluate the corresponding results.But IDA method,as a more comprehensive evaluation performance of higher accuracy,should be more applied to structural design.By comparing with the evaluation results of two methods of performance-based analysis and defining the structural limit state and statistical methods of IDA curves.It shows that the displacement as a design index to control structural seismic performance under earthquake is appropriate. |
