With the rapid development of China's economy,the number of urban population continues to increase,the number of cars is also increasing,then serious traffic congestion problems come behind.It has brought great inconvenience to people.A city's traffic conditions related to the city's economic development and people's quality of life,so it is imminent to solve the road congestion problem.Intersection is the hub of road traffic and it plays a vital role in relieving the pressure of traffic.Therefore,this paper will improve traffic parameters of traffic control and improve road congestion problem by improving the traffic conditions of intersection.This paper studied traffic signal timing problem of single intersection.After comparison and analysis of each index of road,a signal timing algorithm based on multi-objective optimization is proposed.The target of this algorithm is to reduce the vehicle delay time,reduce the number of stops and improve the capacity.It makes dimensionless processing for targets and then constructs multi-objective optimization model,then we use program to do the fixed-step search to get the optimum cycle of the traffic lights for the current traffic condition.After that,this paper proposes another timing algorithm for single intersection traffic lights,that is the signal timing algorithm based on fuzzy control theory.Because the traffic system is a complex and huge system,which can not be accurately measured by mathematical model,this paper combines the fuzzy control idea into the traffic system,and according to the different queue length of the lane,it exports theimpact on the timing scheme.In this algorithm,we need construct three fuzzy controllers,they represent the weight coefficient of the delay time,stop number and capacity,that is the output of three fuzzy controller,the input is the lane queue length of the main queue and the successor queue.After obtaining the three weight coefficients,the index parameters are dimensionlessly processed and multiplied with the weight coefficient to construct the minimum value function.Then use the fixed step search method to find the optimal cycle under the minimum value function.After that,we distribute the green time according to the traffic intensity of each phase,and finally make the phase of the green time and yellow light time together to form a new cycle timing scheme.In this paper,we choose a practical intersection and measure the data,and the two algorithms proposed in this paper are experimentally verified.Then we compare the optimization degree of each phase index with the current timing scheme of the intersection.At the end of the article,the paper summarizes the shortcomings of the article,and points out the problems that can be further studied in the future.
