Wind power is a clean and renewable energy source.With the increasing emphasis on energy security and ecological environment,how to develop and utilize the clean renewable energy sources is of great concern.Research on fault diagnosis for wind turbine to tell the reason of the fault of wind turbine efficiently and accurately is quite necessary for the operation and maintenance of wind turbines.Fault diagnosis for wind turbine will discover early faults in time,so that fault operation time will be much reduced.It will also provide technical support to engineers by indicating the reason of the faults,so that they can make repair efficiently.Therefore,fault diagnosis for wind turbine will improve the economic effectiveness and the safety of wind turbines.Up to now,fault diagnosis for wind turbine are all based on signal processing,focus on fault diagnosis of gearcase and electric generator set of wind turbine.In this paper we build a fault diagnosis system based on data analysis.By comparing several algorithms,we choose the algorithms which are suitable for the fault diagnosis of wind turbine.We use the operation data of four wind turbines from a wind farm to verify the fault diagnosis model we built.The result shows that our fault diagnosis model works quite well.
