In our country,energy resources and energy demand don’t match with each other.To improve this situation and reduce the electric energy losses in the transmission,China has been devoted to the study of ultra-high voltage direct current(UHVDC)transmission project.In recent years,the research and application of UHVDC in China are already at the forefront of the world.A number of ± 800 k V UHVDC transmission lines have been put into operation,but our country has not grasp the key technologies of ultra-high voltage equipment component parameters calculation method.Reference Materials are very few in the electric field calculation of electric power fittings in ±800k V UHVDC valve hall.In this paper,focus on the research of electric field calculation of electric power fittings in ±800k V UHVDC valve hall will guide the design of the fittings in the high pressure valve hall.Based on the high-voltage valve hall in ±800k V UHVDC converter station,in this paper the electric field calculation of electric power fittings in ±800k V UHVDC valve hall under steady-state and transient conditions are studied,a method to optimize the electric field strength of the surface fittings in the high-pressure valve hall is provided.The main research contents include:(1)According to the design drawings of the high-pressure valve hall in ± 800 k V UHVDC converter station,a three-dimensional simulation model was built to simulate the calculation,a set of data obtained with PSCAD simulation software is the boundary load,the electric field calculation of electric power fittings in ±800k V UHVDC valve hall under steady-state conditions is calculated.(2)A power cycle of the potential waveforms obtained with PSCAD simulation software is simplified,the simplified potential waveform is the boundary load,the electric field calculation of electric power fittings in ±800k V UHVDC valve hall under transient conditions is calculated.(3)The Peek formula was used to check the maximum electric field strength of the surface fittings in the high-pressure valve hall.The size of the maximum electric field strength on the surface fitting with or without optimization is compared,a method to optimize the electric field distribution on the surface fitting in the high-pressure valve is provided.
