Transmission tower has the characteristics of high and flexibility and occupies the important position in electricity transmission and distribution and it is the more important to ensure the overall safety of transmission line tower in whole electric power design.Wind load should not be ignored in engineering structure design and it often plays a major role in the structure as high-rise buildings,bridges and tall structures and the dynamic effect significantly of structure under wind load,so it is an essential part of design calculation in the engineering structure,especially for the tower structure to study of wind load.Five kinds of height finite element models of cup type transmission tower was established using Ansys12.0.Then equivalent stiffness change characteristics considering different flow direction and dynamic characteristics of five kind of height finite element models were analyzed.At the same time,this article uses the Davenport spectrum in the Matlab simulation fluctuating wind in different height of five models and converts it to fluctuating wind load and imposed on the towers.Then displacement time history and acceleration time history at different height of transmission tower was obtained to analyzed the the wind vibration response characteristics of cup type transmission tower by time history analysis.On this basis,deduced cup type transmission tower simplified calculation formula of wind vibration coefficient according to the random vibration theory.Compared the wind vibration coefficient with the specification of the wind vibration coefficient and analyzed internal force based on wind vibration coefficient.Then two kinds results of internal force were analyzed.Based on the cup type transmission tower as the research object to study the wind vibration coefficient of transmission tower,structure with the wind to the wind vibration response and crank arm and the cross arm part approximate calculation formulas of wind vibration coefficient obtained and it can be applied and come to the conclusion of structural wind resistance calculation.
