The transmission tower is an indispensable part of the transmission line,and its stability and reliability are very important to the entire transmission line.Our country is currently in a stage of rapid development,and the demand for electricity consumption is also increasing,the state is paying more and more attention to the development of the electric power industry.With the increasing coverage of transmission lines,the natural environment in which power transmission towers are located is becoming more and more severe,and they often face severe wind,ice,and other weather conditions to test the transmission towers.Therefore,real-time monitoring of the current deformation of the transmission tower is particularly important.Study the principle and implementation method of deformation monitoring for transmission towers.In order to solve the problems of low accuracy,complicated algorithm,and lack of real-time in traditional monitoring methods,a method of monitoring deformation using RFID technology is proposed.Using the active RFID tags placed at the key point of the tower to send the time-sharing signal,then,calculate the phase difference between the two after the multiple receive antennas receives the signal,so we can calculate the coordinates of these points.And then,use the calculated coordinates to compare with the normal position,timely detection of the deformation of the tower.After antennas receiving the signal,the signal is firstly processed through the SDR platform and the signal is sent to the computer via the UDP protocol.While the computer received data,stored it firstly,and then the calculating the transmission tower deformation.Enabling the staff to easily understand the current status of deformation of the transmission tower.After the design was completed,actual data measurements were taken.The conclusions were drawn after analyzing the data obtained from the measurements and the results obtained finally.The designed system can be used to monitor the deformation of transmission towers.The monitoring system has the characteristics of good real-time performance,high precision,and low power consumption.It can achieve a measurement accuracy of about 6 cm in a single direction,can reflect the value of the deformation about the tower and ensure the reliability of transmission.
