Intersection,as a traffic accident prone point and traffic node,improving the safety of pedestrians,vehicles and bicycles is very important for ensuring the safety of residents' travel and the smooth traffic of cities.In China,right-turn permitted phase is widely used in most of cities.The right-turn vehicles are more likely to be interfered by other participants than the left ones.The analysis of the traffic behavior of right-turn vehicles is of great significance for improving the safety of an intersection.And with the residents of the travel quality requirements increasing,electric bicycle called the new traffic tools is gradually replacing the traditional bicycle in some cities,however,compared to the traditional bicycle electric bicycle has higher speed and stronger mobility,the intersection safety problem is more serious.The conflict between electric bicycle and motor vehicles is increasing,and the electric bicycle is in a weak position than vehicle.Therefore,this paper analyzed the traffic character of right-turn vehicles considering the influence of electric bicycle.Eight intersections in Suzhou city were selected and the survey method and time were determined.The movement state of the right turning vehicle and the electric bicycle was divided.Using advanced video detection technology,the right turn traffic data and electric bicycle under different conditions were investigated.Combining with the data analysis software,right turn vehicles and electric bicycles the distribution of trajectories and speed distribution was analyzed,it is found that the general law can provide the basis for the following analysis of traffic characteristics.In view of the traffic characteristics of the right turning motor vehicle,the trajectory characteristics,speed characteristics of the vehicle were analyzed.According to the trajectory characteristics,for the collection and analysis of trajectory data as the foundation,the average trajectory distribution model under no interference was established.Then the model was verified.and result showed that trajectory model under no interference can also be used to describe the vehicle trajectory of low electric bicycle.According to the speed characteristics,the data and the distribution of speed as the basis,the paper established the free flow speed model and acceleration model.The model verification results show that the model can describe the vehicle speed without the influence from other traffic participants.Free flow speed and acceleration model is the foundation of speed distribution model in parking speed and other complex situations.The change characteristics of the motion state of the right-turn motor vehicle and the electric bicycle during the conflict were analyzed.On the basis of this,the conflict discrimination between right turning and electric bicycles was studied.The deceleration degree method was chosen as the conflict discrimination method.The maximum deceleration value was used as the discriminant index.And the critical value of the index was obtained by the mathematical statistics.This method was used in actual location.Based on the decision tree theory,the influence factors of the model were analyzed.The maximum likelihood estimation method was used to determine the variable coefficient.The validity of the model was verified by an example.The model can predict the decision-making behavior of the right turn vehicle effectively.This paper analyzed the traffic character of right-turn vehicles considering the influence of electric bicycle,and established the conflict decision model.The model can be applied in the microscopic simulation,and reappear the turning process of the right turn vehicle.And at the same time,it can improve the safety of the right turn motor vehicle and electric bicycle,so as to provide a theoretical basis for traffic design and signal control.
