In the shooting range test technology,the target coordinates of the projectiles are the main parameters to evaluate the hit rate of the weapon,which has always been a research hotspot in this field.Because of its simple structure and high precision,machine vision technology has a wide range of applications in the field of shooting range test.The traditional machine vision system based on PC has the disadvantages of bulky volume and high test cost.In order to improve the mobility and flexibility of measurement system and reduce the cost of equipment,a machine vision measurement system based on embedded chip is designed for target measurement of projectile in shooting range test.The design of the whole system is divided into two parts: hardware design and software development.The hardware part of the system adopts modular design.The C6000 series high-performance digital signal processing chip produced by TI is selected as the main processor,which is used for the control and data processing of the image sensing equipment,and the overall design scheme of the system is given.The software development is divided into two parts.The first part is the development of embedded system,which is based on TI’s embedded operation system DSP/BIOS.The second part is the research of system algorithm.The image segmentation is used to identify and detect the target of the bullet hole.The method of image feature extraction is adopted to extract the pixel coordinates of the target center.Set up a monocular vision measurement model,use the principle of intersection of straight line and plane in spatial analytic geometry to measure the target of projectile.The experimental verification shows that the system can meet the accuracy requirements and greatly reduce the volume and cost of the test system,improve the mobility and flexibility of the measurement system.It is easy to install and move,which make it more suitable for industrial field applications.
