With the continuous breakthrough of bridge design theory and continuous innovation of bridge construction technology,more and more steel structure bridges have been applied to bridge projects.Due to different engineering backgrounds and requirements,various complicated bridge structures emerged.At the same time,the detection and assessment of bridges has become more and more difficult.The application of finite element analysis technology has promoted the development of bridge detection and assessment work.Therefore,in this paper,we take the D3 cross-river bridge in Sichuan Province as the research object.According to use the finite element analysis method to simulate and analyze the static performance of the steel bridge,and study the bridge detection and assessment methods.Through theoretical analysis and experimentation to test and evaluate this bridge.And then provide suggestions for the maintenance and reinforcement of bridges,at the same time provide ideas and lessons for other similar steel bridges.The main research content of the paper is:(1)Investigate the detection methods of existing steel structure bridges at home and abroad,compare and analyze the current domestic and international assessment plans for steel structure bridges,and compare and discuss the status quo of steel bridge reinforcement methods.(2)Analyze and study the characteristics of the existing steel structure bridges,from the design of the bridge structure to the construction,including the materials used in the structure are analyzed and discussed.Reserve theoretical and technical analysis for the follow-up of research and work.(3)Finite element analysis model of the full-bridge by ANSYS finite element simulation software,force analysis of the bridge.Found that the bridge obtain maximum stress and maximum deflection under various conditions were 28.2MPa,0.0877 m.Verify the reliability of design and material selection of the bridge,and obtain the most unfavorable control section and dangerous point of the bridge structure.(4)According to the results of the finite element analysis,timely detection and analysis are required in parts where the bridge structure is weak and prone to defects.To this end,the content,characteristics,and application of different detection methods were studied.There is a clear and clear understanding of the testing and evaluation methods for bridge structures,which will provide reference for the formulation of follow-up testing assessment programs.(5)Similarly,a comparative study was conducted to analyze different evaluation plans for bridge structures,and the main reinforcement contents and applicable occasions of different reinforcement methods were studied and analyzed.The advantages and disadvantages of different evaluation methods and applicable occasions were grasped to provide technical support for the reinforcement and maintenance of subsequent bridge structures.(6)According to the accumulation of existing research work on D3 Steel River Bridge case studies,the characteristics and the results of stress analysis of bridge structure,it gives a detailed look at the bridge and static and dynamic load test program.The bridge was evaluated based on testing and test results.The assessment results showed that the quality rating of the bridge structure was Grade 2,Dr value was 85.53,there was slight damage.Based on that,some maintenance suggestion are given.
