“Wuxing Garden Record” is a garden recorded,written by Zhou Mi who lived in Southern Song dynasty.This record comes from “Wwuxing Garden” which separated from “Gui xin za zhi”.Full text recorded 36 local gardens and Zhou Mi traveled them all.So the overall layout of the garden and the mountains,water,buildings,plants and other landscape elements of the gardens is very detailed.These related description of the garden is seen as a private garden in the southern region of the Southern Song dynasty period of rare historical class notes.Thus,the text is an important private garden literature to research the history of the South Song dynasty landscape,at the same time,it also used as an example in other research.From the historical point of view,this paper focuses on the garden,textual research,analysis and research the gardens in the “Wuxing Garden Recorded”,annotate the article,provide the basis for landscape research and future research.The article starts with the research object of this article then summarizes the research significance and related research.Also makes an account of the difficulties in this research,and puts forward the innovative methods and objectives of the research.Next analyze content,author and background of “Wuxing Garden Record”,namely the history and the era background of Wuxing gardens;interprets the cause of the Southern Song dynasty private gardens flourish and the purpose of author wrote this book,from the geography,history,politics,economy,culture and so on of Wuxing.Then,through the consult literature material,according to the book account related historical literature,poetry,Song dynasty painting record,sort out the items related with those gardens in this period,take the gardens in “Wuxing garden record” as an entry point,emphasis on the analysis and summary of garden types,garden elements,garden activities and fuctions.Finally on the basis of above research,summarizes characteristic of technique,aesthetic tendency of the southern private garden in Southern Song dynasty period,and combine with the characteristics of the gardens in Northern Song dynasty.Pointed out that a transitional period in the Northern Song dynasty to the Southern Song dynasty.It is an important turning point in the development of garden history and a stage of bearing and opening.
