Research On Design Elements And Model Design Of Rock Garden

In recent years,with the social economy development,people have begun to pursue the improvement of the spiritual level,and they have had a strong desire for nature and natural landscapes.They emphasized more on urban afforestation and the urban ecological environment.The development goals of “National Landscape City”,“National Ecological Garden City” and “Eco-saving Garden City” have been proposed by our country.As a garden specializing in the display of habitats in the botanical gardens,the Rock Garden should play an important role in urban construction with its natural environment,unique ornamental effects,abundant plant species,and local characteristics.However,there are still a series of problems that need to be solved in the theoretical research and practical construction of the rock gardens currently built in China.Therefore,this paper is aimed at standardizing,systematizing,and rationalizing the construction of the Rock Garden in botanical gardens,mainly researching on the various landscape elements to form a Rock Garden,through the literature research,case analysis,field investigation,comparative analysis.It also studied the combination of “landscaping” of China's rockery gardens with “habitats establishment” of Western rock gardens,in order to obtain a Rock Garden landscape design model that combines both scientific and artistic beauty.This paper analyzes and compares the domestic and foreign literature,and systematically summarizes the related concepts of the rock garden in the theoretical study.By comparing and summarizing the differences in domestic and foreign planning and design theory,the theory that can be used in the planning and design model of the Rock Garden is deduced.We conducted the field surveys in the Lushan Botanical Garden and the Chenshan Botanical Garden in China.This paper analysed the design ideas,display layouts,plants,and stone setting ways and etc.,by the in-depth case studies of the Botanic Garden Rock Garden at home and abroad.By the comparative study of the Chinese rockery gardens and the Western rock gardens,the differences between the two have been obtained,and the unique characteristics of the two have been extracted.The expression of the design method of the rock garden combining science and art has been explored.When the original habitat was used as a origin design basis,taking alpine environment in China as an example,the landscape of alpine vegetation landscape was studied,and the model of landscape construction and the design model of alpine rock environment were finally obtained.The application form can be used as the basis for the scientific design of the later Rock Gardens.Based on the above studies,the author constructed a preliminary elements design system of the Rock Garden and also created a scientific and artistic rock garden landscape model.
