| The disabled is a nonnegligible enormous group of our society.Along with the development of our society and the improvement of people's living standards,their education degree also improves a lot.Some of them are well-educated and have good living environment but get temporary or perpetual physical disability because of disease,car accident or other disasters.However,the physical disability does not influence their demands for life quality.The disabled have higher demand of life quality than what we think in traditional view.They long for and pursuit products which are suitable for their demand and personality development.Although travel is becoming more and more convenient nowadays,we can not see the disabled in street in China because for the disabled,going out independently,shopping,traveling are still full of difficulties.As designers,we should conduct humanized and emotionalized design from their perspective and offer solutions to their problems through mastering their physical and psychological characteristics and also their demands.As there are different kinds of physical disability,this thesis focus on the disabled who are paraplegia and need use wheelchair,conducting investigation and survey,research and analysis of their trip mode and demand and doing design practice for their power generation tools.This design,quite different from existing wheelchair products in the market,combines electrically powered wheelchair and main car body,thus ensuring the wheelchair users' action capacity in a close range and also try to satisfy the long distance actions.What's more,this design also wants to optimize the usage experience and solve all kinds of problems the disabled may face when going out and design a rapid,reliable,strong,safe and comfortable tools for traveling.Writer wants to carry out redesign of the vehicles for the disabled using theoretical subject knowledge such as vehicle design method,design psychology,ergonomics and referring to anthropometric data. |
