In our country,masonr y struct ure is still a major structura l form,so that the safety of masonry struct ure and the preciseness of releva nt spec ificat ions about the strengt h of masonry struct ure are very important.The masonr y structure cons ists of two parts: the b lock and the mortar,so the strengt h o f mortar is very important to t he strengt h of masonr y struct ure.Experime nts are necessary to determine t he strengt h o f mortar and strength c lasses of mortar,so the unifor mit y and accuracy of the experimenta l met hods of mortar strengt h are very important factors to ensure t he safety of the design of masonry struct ure.The current specificatio ns of our countr y are incons istent with t he rele vant regulat ions o f the exper imenta l met hod s of mortar strengt h,and the incons istency between t he standard regulat ions is bound to cause unnecessary proble ms in the actua l projects.Therefore,mak ing it c lear that t he influe nce of t he change of t he exper imenta l met hod of mortar strengt h to the strengt h and reliab ilit y of masonry str ucture,and accurate unit ying t he experimenta l methods of mortar strengt h in releva nt specificat ions are the important guarantees to ensure the masonry strength is up to the standard and the masonry structure is safe and reliable.This paper first ly collected the related specificat ions and made comparat ive analys is,summar ized the stip ulat ions to the bottom die of mortar specime ns in different experimenta l methods of mortar strength,so the proble ms of the experimenta l met hods of mortar strengt h in our country were clar ified.The exist ing researchs on the bottom d ie of mortar specimens in exper imenta l method s of mortar strengt h were analysed,so that the influe nce mecha nis m of influence factors on mortar strength was clar ified.And then,the influe nce degree of the influe nce factors was ranked,fina lly,the water absorptio n property of the bottom die was determined to be the basic reason for the strength of mortar.After determining the influe nce mechanis m of exper imenta l method s of mortar strengt h on mortar strengt h,for the significant change mak ing about the bottom d ie of mortar specimens in experime nta l met hod of mortar strength in?Standard for test met hod of perfor mance on build ing mortar? JGJ/T70-2009,this paper recalculated the strengt h of masonry struct ure of different wa ll blocks in ?Code for design o f masonr y structures? GB50003-2011,and the influe nces of this change on mortar strength and strength of masonry structure were analyzed.Then the calculat ing process of reliability of masonr y structure was improved in the paper,and the reliability of t he design met hod in curre nt specificat ion ?Code for design of masonry struct ures? GB50003-2011 was calibrated,so that the quant itat ive and int uit ionist ic understand ing of the current spec ificat ion was realized.On this basis,for t he quant itat ive indexes of the impact of t he strengt h of masonry struct ure after the experime ntal met hod of mortar strengt h was changed,this paper recalculated the reliab ilit y of masonr y struct ure.By compar ing t he reliab ilit y indexes before and after the experimenta l method of mortar strengt h was changed,the influence of the change of t he experimental met hod of mortar strengt h to the reliabilit y of masonr y structure was analyzed.After determining the influence of the change of the experime nta l met hod of mortar strength to t he strength a nd reliab ility of masonr y struct ure,this paper collected relevant exist ing experimental data,and for the convers ion factor of compress ive strength o f the mortar spec imen between experimented with d iffere nt wall blocks as bottom dies and with bottom d ie,put forward the reasonable value met hod,and fina lly p ut forward the suggest ion of unifying the exper imenta l method of mortar strength.After gett ing a unifor m and accurate experimenta l method for mortar strengt h,an in-situ test was carried out on 20 walls which were bricked by perforated brick of shale via flat jack test,and the thickness of the wa lls were 180 mm.We can find out fro m the results that what influences the thickness of mortar can cause to the compress ive strengt h of the brickwork.On this basis,this paper fina lly put forward the suggest ion on the thickness of mortar at site construction.
