Alternative Photography Process In Black An White

Since the digital photography has become mainstream,the "aura" of alternative photography has long gone away.However,artists who are not satisfied with a single visual style begin to reexamine the alternative photography,the traditional and handcraft photography is reappeared.As a former technical language,alternative photography shows its unique artistic and cultural values in the digital times.Times bring up people's preference,Art reflects people's thoughts and needs.The exploration of the essence of photography shows the respect for art,and higher pursuit of image experience.The documentary "Alchemy of Light" is based on the traditional handcraft photography technology,which called Platinum Print.The documentary records of platinum printing process with black and white,and interpretation of the themes and ideas of the protagonist's creation,shows his extreme pursuit of image quality.It is hoped that this thesis could provide some valuable theoretical and experience for the documentary creation of traditional handicraft types through the analysis of the methods and forms of the documentary.
