In order to solve the problem that during the whole-spacecraft testing stage Return Signal Simulator needs to be put beside the satellite,operators cannot enter,and manual operation is complex and error-prone,Return Signal Simulator of Scatterometer with remote-control on HY-2B is improved as follows.By controlling Return Signal Simulator beside the satellite via internet,the testing of Return Signal Simulator remotely is realized.Testing result is stable and long-term consistent.It provide solutions for future remote-control of the Return Signal Simulator on Scatterometer or Altimeter on spaceborne in China.Firstly,the structure of Simulator controlling system is holistically designed.The system is divided into master computer and slave computer.Framework,running modes and logics and function of master computer and slave computer are specified and clarified.Based on the original model,the Return Signal Simulator is improved to meet the requirement of technical targets,signal inputs and sequences.The numerical control unit is designed and gigabit Ethernet module is introduced to coordinate all accesses.Numerical control unit receives and handles orders at high speed as remote control server.The rate through numerical control panel WAN could be 200MB/s.Based on Client/Server structure,Lab VIEW is used to develop master computer.Communication rule is defined between server and client.Data packets are designed with different functions,and data packets are encapsulated and analyzed.Human-computer interface is designed,and modules of parameter setting,data transfer and data collecting are developed.Finally the system is integrated,communicating software as master computer and Return Signal Simulator as slave computer via WAN and completing the performance and function tests.Parameters of Return Signal Simulator should meet the requirement.Functions of mode-switching,parameter-setting,data transfer,data collecting,saving and displaying should be validated.The instruction of the remote controlling system is also provided.Return Signal Simulator's remote controlling system solves the problem of complex operation beside the satellite during the testing stage and facilitates scatterometer testing.It is practically applicable.
