| In recent years,container transportation has become one of the most important parts of global modern logistics.Rail freight transport is in the ’golden era’ of rapid development in China.However,due to the unbalance economy development and incoordination regional trade contact in China,empty container allocation problem gradually appears as one of the key factors that restrict the development of China’s railway container transportation.The capability of empty container allocation will have a direct influence on the whole container transportation chain.It not only relates to the operating cost of the enterprise,but also affects the customers’ satisfaction.Furthermore,it’ll have impact on the customers’ choice of the transportation mode and the enterprise competitiveness.This paper makes an in-depth study on railway empty container allocation.This paper combines the previous research experience to the current situation of railway container transportation in China and puts forward a railway empty container allocation method by introducing the freight product factors.The new method pays close attention to the importance of the customer value for the enterprise,also combines the current transportation market after railway freight reformation with customer value evaluating and introduces customer choice of freight products as a key factor.Based on the customer value,this method can allocate empty container resources and formulate a reasonable empty container allocation plan.In this paper,the study on empty container allocation in China demonstrates in the following aspects:(1)This paper expounds the current situation of railway container transportation development in China,and analyzes the railway empty container allocation system at the same time.It summarizes the existing problems and characteristics of the current empty container allocation and puts forward some optimization measures.(2)This paper expounds the importance of studying customer value to the development of railway enterprises’ promotion.The influence of the customer’s choice of freight products on the customer value is analyzed to establish the customer value evaluation model which introduces the freight products.The Dahongmen station of China Railway Beijing Group Co.,Ltd.is taken as an example to evaluate and analyze its customer value.(3)This paper establishes the model of railway container empty container allocation with different categories of customers and time window,and designs the method of solving the customer needs with the priority to satisfy the high value and the high level.The network of China Railway Beijing Group Co.,Ltd.is token as an example and exactly solved by LINGO,which verifies the feasibility of the model andformulates the best empty container allocation plan. |
