With the development of society and the progress of science and technology, the demand for speed and environmental protection is increasing. As the main mode of travel, the land transportation system has gradually been unable to meet the needs of people, and the ETT system can meet the requirements of high speed and environmental protection. At present, the research on the ETT system is still mainly in the medium and low speed conditions at home and abroad, meanwhile the aerodynamic characteristics and energy consumption of the train under the transonic and supersonic conditions are rarely involved. In the expected future, the capsule train will be running at transonic and supersonic speed in the running pipeline,so it is imperative to study the aerodynamic characteristics and energy consumption of the train under ultra high speed conditions. In this paper, according to the operating mechanism of the capsule train in the vacuum pipeline,we use the finite volume method, starting with the parameters of the environmental pressure of the capsule train, the running speed, the blocking ratio, the shape of the head and the tail of the train and the suction system,to set up a two.dimensional and three.dimensional model of the capsule train. So that the aerodynamic characteristics and energy consumption of the capsule train are simulated and analyzed. The results are as follows:(1)The total resistance of the capsule train is increasing with the increase of the air pressure in the running train of the capsule train;(2)The total resistance of the capsule train is increasing with the increase of the speed of the capsule train;(3)When the head of the capsule train is elliptical and the tail is round, the pressure difference between the front and rear of the capsule train is the smallest, and its drag reduction effect is the most obvious;(4)Increasing the running speed of the capsule train and adding the suction system before and after the capsule train can effectively control the KANTROWITZ limit phenomenon;(5)With the increase of the speed of the capsule train, the total energy consumption of the capsule train is decreasing;(6)The scheme of the suction system before and after the capsule train not only reduces the total resistance to the running of the capsule train, but also reduces theenergy consumed by the capsule train at operation.
