The integral abutment bridge cancels the expansion joint and the bearing,solves bridge expansion joint vulnerability and high maintenance costs.Based on the economic and engineering practices,concrete piles are used in bridge engineering in China,while the integral abutment bridge in foreign countries mainly uses steel piles.Therefore,in the study on integral abutment bridge with concrete pile support,there is not much data for reference,and the integral abutment bridge currently does not have a corresponding design specifications and standardized drawings,which brings great obstacles to the design and application of integral abutment bridge.In view of this,this paper takes the Shangban Bridge in Yongchun county,Fujian province as the engineering background,the behavior and simplified design method of integral abutment bridges with concrete piles were researched.the details are as follows:Firstly,the paper introduces the present situation of the integral abutment bridge,and compares the calculation model of the integral abutment bridge and the calculation method of the structure and soil interaction,and the simplified design method commonly used.Then,taking Shangban Bridge as the engineering background,using MIDAS/Civil finite element software,build analysis model of integral abutment bridges,and the calculation results are compared with the static load test data of real bridge to verify the reliability of the model.Secondly,the finite element model is used to analyze the static characteristics of the superstructure of the integral abutment Bridge under the action of dead load,temperature load,vehicle load and concrete shrinkage and creep,and compare with the common joints bridges,and on this basis,the influence of backfill on the superstructure of the integral abutment bridge is analyzed.Then,a simplified design method for the superstructure of integral abutment bridge based on the calculation method of continuous girder bridge is proposed,and according to the analysis of the pile top internal force,the crack width of the concrete pile under the serviceability limit state is checked by using the conventional method of pile foundation calculation.Finally,study on the properties of the concrete pile under the action of temperature and the shrinkage and creep of concrete,and chooses the parameters to analyze the influence of each parameter on the internal forces and deformations of the concrete pile.
