YC6T water cooled exhaust pipe is the important parts of daiesel engines,YC6T series is the most complex parts of engine.Because YC6T water cooled exhaust pipe of complicated structure,high material request,the production process of the high rejection rate,low production efficiency,production cost is too big.In order to improve the production efficiency and quality,reduce the reject rate,our YC6T exhaust tube casting were discussed,and the YC6T water cooled exhaust pipe quality problem to undertake research,in order to solve the above problems.Based on the analysis of YC6T water cooled exhaust pipe structure features and technical requirements and difficulties of casting technique on the basis of,using a closed intermediate into the gating system,channel and exterior side by the sand core components,design of the parting plane in the middle of the exhaust pipe,the pouring position selection in the middle of the exhaust pipe of the parting plane,through the scientific design of gating system,design of exhaust system,design of Double Neck riser gating system design,three-dimensional modeling,the whole group of core type sand core casting technology design,three-dimensional proofread and virtual assembly of 3D sand core,core box design,completed the casting process design.In trial production phase,by comparing the optimized casting shrinkage,and sand core selection scheme optimization,solved the problem of plane air.Through the through bolt hole position of additional riser,and the optimization of exhaust system,solved the screw hole shrinkage defect.In production practice,to cause the YC6T exhaust pipe leakage defects porosity,shrinkage cavity and porosity and formed a reason to undertake thorough analysis,made a lot of experiments,take measures,eliminate or reduce the exhaust tube casting porosity,shrinkage cavity and porosity.The paper makes use of the casting theory and a large number of experimental data,the use of advanced UG/WAVE technology of YC6T exhaust tube casting process design and optimization,and the conventional casting process design,greatly shorten the designing period.By optimization of the process,measures,the final YC6T exhaust pipe leakage defect by highest when50decreased as the5,improve the yield,quality.
