HVDC transmission because of its long transmission distance,large transmission capacity and strong stability attracted wide attention,thus becoming the indispensable element of strong smart grid.With the increase of the voltage level,the converter value,as the core equipment of the HVDC converter station,the electrical connection in the internal hall become more complicated.Therefore,the calculation of the high potential area conductors and the surface of insulators is the key of the optimal design to achieve converter value insulation under a small margin of safety.In this paper,a 3D model of ±1100kV DC converter valve is established,calculate and optimize the electric field distribution of ±1100kV DC converter valve insulation type test.The physical structure of converter valve is introduced in detail;using SolidWorks and ANSYS software establish a 3D model of ± 1100kV DC converter valve,and selected the 2700kV/m as control field of fitting surface.Through the study of the principle and connection of ±1100kV DC converter valve insulation type test,the electric field distribution and boundary condition were determined.According to different conditions,presents the calculation method of DC electric field and AC electric field.On this basis,calculate the electric field distribution of the metal parts of ±1100kV DC converter valve single valve AC withstand voltage test and single valve DC withstand voltage test.At the same time,focus on the field distribution of the,the reactor buses,the pipe fittings and the interlayer insulators.Then optimize the structure of electric field distribution of bad position.Increase the radius of the rounded corners of the radiators to 2mm to reduce the maximum of the electric field intensity to the safe range.
