Partial discharge is an important means of high-voltage electrical equipment insulating state detection,acoustic emission technique is an effective method of monitoring power equipment partial discharge signal.Fiber EFPI sensor realizes the high-voltage electrical equipment partial discharge monitoring by accepting ultrasonic signals generated by its own.Fiber EFPI sensor is composed of optical elements induct sonic vibration and subsequent signal conversion processing circuit electronic components,this system is small,has a good ability of anti-electromagnetic interference,and it is applicable to a variety of complex environments.This paper,fiber EFPI sensor as the research object,describes the working principle and the composition of the system components of fiber EFPI sensor,and analyzes the relationship between the waveform corresponding to the ultrasonic amplitude with partial discharge quantity through application of fiber EFPI sensor and pulse current method of combined detection of partial discharge;also through fiber EFPI sensor and the piezoelectric ceramic sensor combined detection analyzes both the detection characteristics of the partial discharge.And this paper design a dual probe fiber EFPI sensor detection system,based on this study fiber EFPI sensor responses of partial discharge signals at different angles and temperatures.The study found:fiber EFPI sensor has a high detection sensitivity,a good correspondence with the discharge signal of the pulse current method,discharge magnitude and discharge amount is a positive correlation.Compared with the center frequency of the piezoelectric ceramic sensor,the degree of attenuation of the detection signal of the fiber EFPI sensor is low,is still able to detect a discharge signal in the distance of the discharge point 75cm.Fiber EFPI sensor can detect the whole angle of the partial discharge signal.Different ambient temperatures,fiber EFPI sensor signals response are different,the response signals vary periodically.
