Large-scale equipment manufacturing is an unique production mode.The complex,large and heavy products always need special machines and the manufacturing time is long.Meanwhile,large numbers of machines increase the difficulty and the unreasonable scheduling will lead to slow-response.Thus,the utilization of space,time and equipment resources become the bottleneck in the process of manufacturing.In oeder to allocate resources properly and fulfill orders in time,the "Scheduling in Large-scale Equipment Manufacturing" is defined based on geographical spatial conception.This paper use the cellular automata to build a 4D scheduling model with the goal of increasing space,time and equipment utilization rate.The study explores new ideas and creates a new way for the scheduling in large-scale equipment manufacturing,and has a theoretical value and realistic significance.The main works and achievements can be summarized as follows:1.Described the prototype features of the large-scale equipment manufacturing,analyzed the related research status and the existing research methods.Then put forward research ideas and the framework of the scheduling in the large-scale equipment manufacturing.2.Taking length,breadth of the yard,processing time and equipment capabilities as four dimensions,defined the concept of 4D scheduling.3.Divided the 3D workplace into layers,designed the mesh model of CA,cell status attributes,initial condition,boundary condition and the local self-evolution rules,modeled 4D scheduling in the large-scale equipment manufacturing based on CA.4.Built the local layer model,including the 2D spatial scheduling based on heuristic algorithm and equipment scheduling based on bi-level genetic algorithm.5.Access,VB and MATLAB were respectively responsible for the database building,the simulation interface designing and the simulation calculation,realize the simulation system.6.Through empirical study of the 4D scheduling in ZC block assembly shop,proved the feasibility and effectiveness of the 4D scheduling model and methed.Contrasted practical scheme and the 4D scheduling,4D scheme performed better in the number of the delayed blocks,the time-space utilization rate and the equipment utilization rate.
