Automated recognition of electrical apparatus from high-resolution aerial images with complicated natural background,through using digital image analysis and processing,serves as one pivotal technique in aerial inspection system.Thereinto,the accurate extraction of power lines in high-resolution aerial image is most important.This algorithm provides guarantee for detecting the status of power lines using photogrammetric technique.So it has much practical value.The power line is imaged with about one pixel width,so this paper utilizes edge-based linear detection in power lines inspection.This algorithm can accurately locate and describe power lines,through processing phases-edge detection,primitive line extraction,primitive line merging and false alarm reduction.In edge detection,this paper researches on an algorithm based on phase information,which is phase congruency.Considering the local property of image edges,phase congruency function based on Gabor wavelet transform is presented.In primitive line extraction,this thesis utilizes Radon transform in connectivity region instead of the whole image.This connectivity-based algorithm is proposed by Cardoso,which can avoid the increasing possibility of disconnection and detection failure resulting by local overlapping window.In primitive line merging,we interpret primitive line merging in spatial space into point clustering problem in polar coordinate space.Through clustering principle,we merge close and approximately collinear primitive line segments.In false alarm reduction,we design principles,according to the properties of power lines in high-resolution aerial image,to find false alarm.By using these arithmetic,We design the power line identification system based on edge detection.This paper campare the edge detection method based on phase information with the other methods based on the luminance information,using the simulation experiment of the power line identification system.Besides,we give out the power line extraction results of Radon transform line extraction method based on connected domain,Phase marshalling method and some other methods?The Experiment Result Indicates that this system can automatically extract the high voltage power lines,under the complex background of nature effectively.
