Aircraft tires are the core components of the aircraft landing gear, and its performance is directly related to the safety of the aircraft taking off and landing.Aircraft tires are used in special conditions, which determines the structure and material are much more complex than the ordinary motor vehicle tyres, the structure and materials of the aircraft tire requires more technical reliability and security.Study of simulation and analysis has important practical significance to the mechanical properties of aircraft tires.ABAQUS finite element analysis software is used for modeling and nonlinear analysis of aircraft tires. This paper takes the H44.5×16.5-21 aviation tires as example, and elaborates the structural principle, the material properties and the failure mechanism of the tire. Each of the rubber material constitutive model are compared from the perspective of material nonlinearity.Yeoh model is used to characterize the mechanical properties of the rubber. The uniaxial tensile test was taken on the tire rubber in order to get the Young's modulus,Poisson's ratio of the material parameters and the mechanical parameters of the Yeoh model.A cord map is shown in this paper according to the distribution of the tire materials, which is identified and modified by a interface program.A 2-D axisymmetric model is setup based on the rubber-cord composites. The materials of the tire are defined completely in a 2-D axisymmetric model. The rebar model is adopt to characterize the distribution of the cords in the rubber matrix. The rubber and cords are meshed and defined attributions, then loads and boundary conditions are applied in order to complete the assembly and the inflation process of the tire.A three-dimensional model by revolving a two-dimensional model through INP program files is generated and is conducive to reducing the difficulties of calculation and meshing.Loads and constraints in the 3-D model are redefined before the static-load analysisDeformation and distribution of the 2-D inflated model, width and radius of the inflation section are studied.Stress and strain changes over time of each cords and rubber,as well as the contact pressure between beads and rim and stress-strain variations of three steel rings are analyzed.Contact analysis is carried on in the 3-D static load model to get the contact pressure, the footprint area distribution between the tire arid road surface under the various loads.
