Research On The Analysis And Preservation Of Landscape Character Of Huayao Historic Village In Longhui County

Under the background of integration of urban and rural areas together with the new rural construction and village tourism exploitation,historic villages have been gradually ’modernized’ that lost their own characters and been converging and similar.Especially for minority historic villages,the fading culture and ethnic elements will decline the recognizability of villages’ landscape characters as a whole.Therefore,how to assess and recognize the landscape characters in each village under the circumstances of the convergence of landscape and take it into preservation,is of great significance to extend the lifetime of historic villages and to bring aesthetic and social effect into full play,and moreover dramatically influence the historical study,cultural heritage protection and planning of urban and rural areas.In this paper,Huayao historic villages are chosen as examples for the study of the method of the landscape characters’ recognition and integration in minority historic villages.There are totally five chapters as follows:Chapter Ⅰ:Literature review about the preservation of historic villages and also village landscape and it’s characters.What’s more,the definition of research contents,methods and framework.Chapter Ⅱ:A general situation on the condition of natural environment and the background of humanism and society about Huayao historic villages in Longhui,Hunan province,which,included the geographical conditions,spatial pattern of the villages and moreover the national customs and traditional skills of residents there.Chapter Ⅲ:The investigation and analysis of Huayao historic villages——The author creatively used THREE methods throughout the process of investigation,analysis and final decision-making respectively.Through quantitative and qualitative methods of the author’s fieldwork based on SD-method on cognition of landscape characters on historic villages,besides the analysis applied SPSS factor analysis method in order to figure out the main factors that influencing the landscape characters of Huayao historic villages.What’s more,the author summarized the status of its landscape characters and problems exist,further the Analytic Hierarchy Process method had been used to deduce the best strategy on Huayao historic village landscape characters integration and it’s sustainable development.Chapter Ⅳ:The methodology on integration and protection of landscape characters.Firstly,the analysis of the meaning and significance of landscape characters,and then on the basis of investigation and analysis of the results in ChapterⅢ,summarized three specific implementation steps:firstly the macro "entire landscape characters extraction," then in middle" the groups of villages with landscape" and finally the microscopic view of "landscape improvement and Protection inside village ",while from outside to the inside,and as well protecting the cultural landscape of the visible matter,focusing on heritage and national character of the protection and sustainable development of the intangible cultural heritage.Chapter V:The practice of methodology.Also based the idea promoted in Chapter IV that to combine the landscape characters in Huyao historic villages but still remain different——the prominent landscape as valleys,Huayao architectures,stone waterfall,terrace represented the most extraordinary ones in the overall landscape characters and villages such as Wang Xi village,Chongmudang,Datuo and Wanguanchong,etc.,consistent with their near villages and different landscape in combinations to form a first-level landscape characters village as the center and relying on their location and transportation;to promote the development of the villages with fairly unenlightened foundation and improve as well as targeted upgrading the overall landscape and environment,therefore help enhance the preservation and coordinated development of the combination of landscape characters in Huayao historic villages.
