With the continuous development and utilization of water resources in mountainous areas,the original ecological environment of some mountainous rivers has been affected and destroyed to a certain extent,especially the construction of some small-scale cascade hydropower stations in mountainous areas,resulting in the river between the dam and the powerhouse.The phenomenon of water desorption(reduction)occurs in the section,resulting in a series of problems such as river drying up and river biodiversity reduction.It is urgent to implement the national policy to protect the river ecology and restore the destroyed river ecology.One of the effective solutions is to rationally design and configure the river’s ecological base flow.Therefore,taking the Wudaogou River Yuanbao Power Station section as an example to carry out ecological base flow control and guarantee research has important practical guiding significance for protecting the Wudaogou River ecology and scientifically and rationally using water resources.The research content and results of this article on ecological base flow are as follows:(1)The concept,connotation and characteristics of ecological base flow are analyzed,and the calculation method of ecological base flow is analyzed in detail mainly in terms of advantages,disadvantages and applicability.(2)Taking the Wudaogou River Yuanbao Power Station as an example,combined with the existing long series of measured hydrological data,three different calculation methods,namely the minimum monthly average flow method,the flow duration curve method,and the Tennant method,were used to quantitatively calculate the five channels.The ecological base flow of the Yuanbao section of the Gouhe River has obtained results of 0.337m~3/s,0.41m~3/s,and 1.03m~3/s respectively.Based on the rational analysis of the actual situation,the ecological base flow of Wudaogou River is finally determined to be 1.03m~3/s.(3)The measured annual average flow method,the multi-year average method and the typical year method are used to analyze the surplus and deficiency of the ecological base flow of the Wudaogou River Yuanbao Power Station.The results show that only the inter-annual annual average flow can meet the requirements of the Wudaogou River.The ecological base flow requirements of the river,and the flow analysis in other years have shown that there are various degrees of water shortage,especially the non-flood season(January,February,December)is more serious than the flood season.Through research and analysis of influencing factors such as Yuanbao Power Station,evaporation and leakage,and water quality purification,it is found that the development and construction of Yuanbao Power Station has a significant impact on the ecological base flow.(4)Choosing the maximization of power generation efficiency as the dispatch goal,establish the objective function with the ecological base flow as the constraint condition,and select the typical year to solve the regulation model.Three different ecological base flow control measures are compared and studied:power station regulation,ecological weir regulation,power plant regulation and ecological weir co-regulation,and corresponding measures to ensure ecological base flow,reasonable economic benefits,and scientific deployment of water resources are proposed.
