The share-trading reform implemented in 2005 made the Chinese stock market enter the era of full circulation.After that,pursuing the maximization of corporate value was the primary goal of the listed company's operation and development.The concept of market value management was accordingly raised.The management philosophy of market value management has gradually been taken seriously by listed companies.All along,China's capital markets have shown weak validity.This situation has caused the company's market value and the company's intrinsic value to sometimes deviate from each other.It needs to use some market value management methods to make the two match each other.This article takes Baosteel.as a case,and adopts literature research method and case study method to study the market value management adopted by Baosteel.First,the article will introduce the basic situation of Baosteel.and some market value management methods.Then,it will analyze the changes in market value of Baosteel.based on the indices of Shanghai Stock Exchange Index,P/B ratio and P/E ratio,and then analyze the company's solvency,profitability,and operation ability.Traditional financial indicators such as growth ability and economic value added are analyzed.In addition to this,the basic operating conditions of the company are introduced,the indicators are compared with the changes in the company's total market value,and the benefits brought by the company's market value management are summarized according to the development trend of the total market value of Baosteel,and the market value management process is discovered.The inadequacies of the proposed solution are constructive and representative.Through analysis,the following conclusions can be drawn:The market value management of Baosteel.also failed to get rid of the influence of the inherent defects in China's capital market.The company should establish a target strategy that matches the actual business development capacity and formulate a positive market guidance strategy to avoid stock prices as much as possible.The situation of "breaking the net" appeared again.In the end,the article put forward some suggestions on the market value management of Baosteel.I hope that this article's analysis and recommendations on the market value management of Baosteel will enable more listed companies to be inspired and find market value management strategies suitable for their own development.
