In the separation process of mineral,in order to realize visually distinguishing of the useful minerals and gangue in simple ore and improving the efficiency of mineral separation,the dual energy X-ray transmission material identification technology was designed and applied to the mineral separation.And according to the imaging technology,a series of image processing method were designed to improve and enrich this technology,and then to improve the application range of the recognition system.After a series of processing,a clear and obvious image of mineral distribution can form,so that the distribution of mineral elements can be visually observed in the mineral,which provided technical support for the efficient separation of minerals.In this paper,imaging processing technology of mineral was researched based on the Matlab software and program.The main contents included in the first part for some problems such as low contrast between gray image and background,and a lot of noise before ore recognition,the whole built system was corrected and the image quality was optimized by mathematical method.In the second part,in the process of ore identification,a recognition method without the influence of thickness,the r-value mapping method,was explored to make the mapped r-value image not affected by the uneven thickness of ore,which ensured the accuracy of the extracted ore image data.In the third part,a series of digital image processing methods were designed according to some image problems of R value to optimize the image of R value,so that the distribution and content of minerals in the image can be intuitively observed after processing.Specific image processing techniques were mainly to enhance R value images enhancement processing with the gray enhancement technique,and to remove the noise of the image by mathematical morphology to protect the edges of the ore image signal,and then optimize the image noise through the median filtering,finally a RGB color scheme can be designed,which can be better for refining image color and more convenient for observation of mineral images.Based on the above research and design,the experiment was selected to verify themineral identification system,and the detection results were compared with the portable fluorescent detector.The results showed that the dual-energy X-ray transmission ore dressing system,which was improved by image processing,can be directly applied to the identification and judgment of mineral species and distribution in ore,and the accuracy of the determination of mineral distribution range in ore was up to more than 90%,and the thickness resolution of ore was from 2 to 10 cm.Since the same kind of mineral in the ore would have the same color,the system could be used to identify the type and content of a single ore at a time.And the database corresponding to different ores can be established so as to identify and separation a certain kind of ore better and faster.In conclusion,the dual-energy X-ray transmission mineral processing system designed by image processing can be applied to the mineral identification and content range detection of various kinds of metal ores,as well as provide technical basis for other mineral processing methods.
