Study On Intelligence-gathering Of Illegal Wildlife Trafficking On The Internet

Wildlife is an indispensable natural resource for human survival and an important part of building a harmonious ecosystem.The illegal wildlife trafficking leads to the large-scale hunting for wild animals,which are facing the danger of extinction,therefore seriously damaging the ecological balance.The illegal trade in wildlife also increases the risk of zoonosis.With the development of human society towards digital information and the popularization of Internet technology,in recent years,the crime of illegal wildlife trafficking has been transferred to the Internet.Criminals show wild animals and their products for sale through videos and pictures,pay through electronic payment,bank transfer,etc,transport animals and their products through express logistics,buses,cars,etc on various platforms,thus realizing illegal Internet wildlife trafficking.From the perspective of information flow,cash flow and logistics in the trading,by studying and judging 164 cases,The article analyzes the trading information,payment information and logistics information,determines the distribution of the three types of information and the information source needed to be focused on,summarizes the existing problems and relevant reasons about illegal wildlife information collection.At present,there are some problems in intelligence-gathering of illegal wildlife trafficking on the Internet,such as outdated methods,small amounts of information collection,low level of information sharing and low quality of information collection.There are four reasons for these problems.One is that innovation in information collection methods is lacking;the other is that the channels of information collection are not smooth;the third is that the mechanism of information sharing is not sound;and the fourth is that the initiative of information collection is poor.In order to strengthen the intelligence-gathering of illegal wildlife trafficking on the Internet,this paper puts forward the following suggestions.First,in consideration of the concealment of the intelligence of illegal wildlife trafficking on the Internet,we must first do a good job in the identification and collection of relevant argot.Second,innovate the methods of intelligence-gathering.Carry out network patrol to gather intelligence.Third,broaden the channels of intelligence-gathering.we seek intelligence cooperation from the society while digging up the clues in the process of investigation.Fourth,we must improve the internal intelligence sharing mechanism ofpublic security organs.Fifthly,we should establish and improve the scientific assessment mechanism,take quality as the guidance,and encourage the police at all levels to do a good job in information collection.
