| The metal cutting liquid is mainly used in the process of metal cutting and grinding.It comprises base oil and various compound additives.In order to meet the requirements of practical use,the metal cutting liquid should have good application performance.Naphthenic base oil has many unique properties.It is the ideal raw material for metal cutting fluid.In the sight of international situation,the application of naphthene base oil used in metal processing oil is being expanded.In this paper,the2nd line atmospheric distillate of a naphthenic crude was used to develop two types of metal cutting fluids-oil-based metal cutting fluid and microemulsion cutting fluid.The main research work and results are as follows:According to the actual condition of production equipment,three process routes were designed to prepare metal cutting fluid base oil:high pressure hydrogenation process,hydrogenation deacidification-clay finishing and hydrogenation deacidification-furfural refining-clay finishing.The reaction condition of various processes was tested respectively,and the properties of base oil showed that for the material used in this paper,high pressure hydrogenation process is the optimum preparation process.The screening test was done to meet the performance requirements of oil-based metal cutting fluid and microemulsion cutting fluid.The formulation of the oil-based metal cutting fluid mainly consists of R5,sulfonate,isomer alcohol fatty acid ester,SP and supplemented by other functional additives.Microemulsion cutting fluid product formula uses modified fatty acid soap as extreme pressure lubricating additives,matching with oil additives,rust inhibitors and other functional additives.Compared to the similar domestic and foreign products,the main performance and using effect of the two metal cutting fluid products developed in this paper can be on a par with the imported high-end metal cutting fluid products which have been widely applied to the current domestic market. |
