ABS resin ranks among the top five synthetic general-purpose resins in the world due to its good comprehensive properties.Because of the existence of rubber in the system for improving toughness,the ABS resin is more easy to aging in the use process,which limits its application in the main parts of automobile,heat-resistant products,even in outdoor products.Therefore,improving the aging resistance of ABS resin has become a key issue to achieve high performance.In this paper,the anti-oxidation property of ABS graft copolymer was improved by adding nanoemulsion antioxidant.Various factors affecting the stability and antioxidant properties of antioxidant emulsions are studied,and a method for screening antioxidants capacity is proposed.1.Screen out the emulsifiers and its optimal dosage for the antioxidant emulsion for used in ABS.The antioxidant emulsion were prepared by reverse emulsification,using different emulsifiers,cresol and dicyclopentadiene butylated products(CPL)as the main antioxidants and dilauryl thiodipropionate(DLTP)as the auxiliary antioxidant.By comparing the particle size distribution,stability,and the calculation of the HLB value of the emulsifier,it was screened that when potassium oleate is the emulsifier and the amount of the antioxidant is 6%,the obtained antioxidant emulsion has the best particle size and stability.Its particle size can reach 300 nm level.2.The factors affecting the stability and antioxidant properties of antioxidant emulsions were studied.In this paper,antioxidant emulsions with different formulation,particle size,ratio and solid content were compared and their potential,surface tension and stability were tested,at the same time,the emulsion was added into acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene graft copolymer to test its anti-oxidation property.The results show that the inverse emulsification method can produce efficient and stable antioxidant emulsions.The factors affecting the stability and anti-oxidation performance of the antioxidant emulsion were also discussed.3.A screening method for the antioxidant properties of antioxidants is proposed.Several antioxidants with different ratios of effective functional groups in the antioxidant molecules were partially replaced by the main and auxiliary antioxidants to change the number of effective functional groups in the antioxidant emulsion per unit mass,which confirmed that the system was improved.The way with the number of functional groups with antioxidant capacity can improve the antioxidant performance of the antioxidant emulsion.The antioxidant performance of the antioxidant increases with the increase of the effective functional group concentration.Antioxidant properties of the resin,it has been proved that when potassium oleate is used as an emulsifier,a variety of antioxidant solid powders can be emulsified into an antioxidant emulsion with high stability and nanometer size by inverse emulsification.
