In the process of strengthening floor slotting,the wear-resistant layer with high wear resistance and high hardness is easy to accelerate the wear rate of cutting tools,and the cutting surface is prone to edge collapse and waviness.This poses a great challenge to the finishing milling cutter of the reinforced floor.However,there are few reports on the structure design and application of the finishing cutter for laminated flooring in many cutter studies at home and abroad.Aiming at the problems existing in the milling process of hardened floor finishing cutter,this paper takes hardened floor finishing cutter as the research object,and designs the structure of hardened floor finishing cutter based on wood cutting theory.There are three new types of finishing milling cutters: spiral milling cutters with large spiral angles of 54°,62° and 70° and taper milling cutters with taper angles of 15°,25° and 35° and precision milling cutters with spiral angle of 10 and taper angle of 90.The new structural finishing cutter was placed in the production line of reinforced floor to carry out milling experiments.The effects of different experimental factors(feed speed,milling depth and tool angle)on the milling performance of the finishing cutter were studied by orthogonal experimental design and do assessment of work piece surface quality,milling power and tool wear The significance of each experimental factor on the evaluation index was analyzed by variance analysis method.According to the orthogonal test results,the average number of spiral milling cutter,taper milling cutter and cylindrical milling cutter milling strengthened floor is 404 pieces,1251 pieces and 312 pieces respectively.In a wear cycle,taper milling cutter milling has the largest number of reinforced floors.By using range analysis method,through the comparative analysis and parameter optimization of milling power and surface roughness,the optimum parameters of spiral milling cutter are 70° helical angle,60 m/min feed speed and 0.4 mm milling depth,and the optimum milling parameters of taper milling cutter are 15° taper angle,40 m/min feed speed and 0.4 mm milling depth.The tool wear was observed and analyzed by body microscope,environmental scanning electron microscope and energy spectrum analyzer.It was concluded that the main wear forms of hardened floor finishing tool were abrasive wear and bond wear.The variance analysis showed that milling depth and tool angle had a significant impact on tool wear,while feed speed had no significant impact on tool wear.Under the above optimal milling parameters,through the comparative analysis of the milling surface quality,it can be seen that both spiral and taper milling cutters have ripple phenomena during the normal wear cycle of the cutter.The designed spiral milling cutter and taper milling cutter are superior to cylindrical milling cutter in milling power,tool wear and surface quality.And the number of taper milling cutter milling hardened floor is much larger than that of spiral milling cutter and cylindrical milling cutter.Therefore,taper milling cutters are more suitable finishing tool for laminate flooring.
