Energy is an important cornerstone of a country's stable economic growth and harmonious social development.Today's society has been inseparable from the use of energy, energy has become an irreplaceable important resource. However, with the continuous growth of the economy, the increasing demand for energy and the increasingly serious environmental pollution problem, the search for clean energy as an alternative to fossil energy has become an urgent problem for the healthy development of the economy.China's vast territory is relatively rich in resources, but at the same time, there is also the problem of unbalanced resource endowment,so a large number of fossil energy imports are needed. As a substitute for fossil energy, how to promote the development of new energy industry and realize sustainable economic and social development has become an important topic in the process of China's economic development. Therefore, this paper will combine theory and practice to study and analyze the current new energy industry.By studying the impact of carbon dioxide emissions and economic growth on the development of new energy industry,it can help provincial governments to formulate relevant new energy development strategies and provide reasonable Suggestions for promoting the development of new energy industry in China. This paper first elaborates the purpose and significance of the research, and sorts out the research results of domestic and foreign scholars in related fields. After sorting out,it is found that there is still room for research on the new energy industry. This paper will carry out further research based on this.In various provinces and cities main types of energy consumption and carbon emissions coefficient as a measure of carbon dioxide emissions, measure 30 provinces and cities in China(excluding Tibetan)carbon dioxide emissions from 2000 to 2017 and analyzed,on this basis, this paper constructs the new energy industry and nonlinear smooth regression model between carbon dioxide emissions(STR),the empirical analysis of the new energy industry and measuring relationship between carbon dioxide emissions. At the provincial level, with the new energy industry as explanatory variables, economic growth,co2 emissions and energy consumption structure and so on six variables as explanatory variables, and using the economic growth as the threshold variable to construct the new energy industry and economic growth among the variables such as panel smooth transition regression(PSTR)model, the empirical research on China's 30 provinces, cities and the relationship between the new energy and its influence factors. At the same time,30 provinces and cities are divided into eastern, central and western regions by region. The quantitative relationship between new energy industry and economic growth and other variables is studied from a regional perspective to compare the differences of new energy development influenced by economic growth and other factorsBased on the research of carbon dioxide emissions,on the impact of economic growth on the new energy industry development the empirical results show that carbon dioxide emissions and economic growth of new energy industry development has a nonlinear effect: carbon dioxide emissions in the early development of new energy industry has only a small role, and in the later this kind of greatly improved its role in promoting; At the national level, when economic growth is low,it has a small negative effect on the development of new energy. When the economic level is improved, the impact of economic growth on the development of new energy industry turns into a driving force. At the regional level, the influence of economic growth and other factors on the development of new energy industry has obvious regional differences, which is related to the economic level and resource endowment of each region.
