Poly(trimethylene terephthalate)(PTT)fiber is a new type of polyester fiber which has the advantages of excellent resilience,stain resistance,wear resistance,spinnability,dyeing performance and soft handle.It can be widely used in the field of sportswear and underwear.However,due to the regular arrangement of PTT molecular chain,high crystallinity and lack of hydrophilic groups,it has poor hygroscopicity.It is easy to produce a sense of stuffy heat when people wear the clothes,which reduces the comfortability of clothing.Therefore,this paper focuses on improving the hygroscopicity of bio-based PTT polyester fiber.Based on the infiltration,wicking and moisture absorption characteristics of the fiber,the comfortable modification of PTT polyester fiber and its products have been studied to further reveal the application mechanism of bio-based PTT polyester fiber and lay the foundation for further application.The main research contents are as follows:Firstly,PTT polyester fiber with cross shaped structure is designed and prepared based on the core suction effect to improve its moisture conductivity,and on this basis,blending polyether ester to improve the surface wettability of PTT polyester fiber,so as to build a "moisture wetting,moisture conducting and moisture removing" system of PTT polyester fiber.The results show that the cross-shaped structure improves the hygroscopicity and dye uptake of PTT polyester fiber.But the mechanical properties and resilience of cross-shaped PTT polyester fiber are decreased compared with that of common round PTT polyester fiber,while the introduction of polyether ester on the one hand increases the flexibility of macromolecular chain and improves the strength of cross shaped PTT polyester fiber.On the other hand,polyether ester itself,as an elastomer,improves the resilience of cross-shaped PTT polyester,which makes its resilience not decrease with the increase of drawing times and constant elongation in a certain range.Therefore,the cross-shaped PTT/TPEE polyester fiber not only improves the moisture absorption,but also has other properties similar to the ordinary round fiber.The test results of PTT fabrics show that the cross structure increases the gap between the fibers,and the air permeability and moisture conductivity of the two kinds of cross PTT fabrics are improved compared with the round PTT fabric.Secondly,due to good spinnability of PTT polyester fiber,it can be blended with natural fiber with good moisture absorption to prepare PTT/wool and PTT/viscose blended yarn and dyed in the same bath.The moisture absorption,mechanical properties and resilience of the blended yarn are evaluated.The results show that the moisture regain of the blended yarns are increased to 7.2%,and the moisture absorption is greatly improved.In addition,the mechanical properties and resilience of PTT/wool blended yarn compared with wool yarn are also improved,and the PTT/viscose blended yarn also overcomes the disadvantages of the viscose fiber,such as poor elasticity and easy folding.The results of fabrics show that the color fastness of the blended yarns are good,and have good thermal-humidity comfort performance and anti-wrinkle performance.
