With the rapid development of China’s aerospace industry,a large number of high-speed aircraft have been developed and used.In recent years,how to reduce the damage to human body caused by the huge noise generated by high-speed aircraft and air friction has become the main direction and requirement of research on functional materials.Therefore,it has become a new research hotspot to explore resin-based plant fiber composites with sound absorption and noise reduction properties.Hemp fiber has a special hollow structure,and it can be observed under electron microscope that a fiber contains a lot of fiber bundles inside,and there are many cavities between these fiber bundles,and the existence of cavities provides feasibility for the performance of jute fiber in sound absorption and noise reduction.In addition,hemp fiber is widely planted in nature,has a huge yield and considerable economic benefits.Some mechanical properties can be compared with glass fiber.In addition to its own characteristics,hemp can also according to different preparation technology,processed into powder,short fiber,long fiber and woven cloth,such as use of jute fiber and preparation of polymer matrix composites have been successfully applied in the field of aerospace,microelectronics,etc,in some applications can replace metal and alloy material,not only realize the lightweight material,but also greatly reduces the cost of materials.The performance of jute fiber is affected by its growth environment,and its performance is not uniform.Therefore,when preparing composite materials with resin matrix,the interface between jute fiber and resin matrix is an important factor affecting the material.Before the preparation of composite material,jute fiber needs to undergo a series of surface treatments to enhance the interfacial bonding ability with resin matrix.At the same time,jute fiber,as a kind of plant fiber,will decompose and carbonize at high temperature,so in the preparation of composite materials,the prepreg is obtained by the method of solution and then molded.As a high performance thermoplastic resin,the composite prepared by soluble poly(aryl ether ketone)not only has good mechanical properties,but also can be processed into various forms,and the original shape can be changed in the melting state.The characteristics of fire removal and selfextinguishing enable the composite material to have certain flame-retardant properties.More importantly,the composite material can be prepared with plant fiber under the decomposition temperature of plant fiber.Therefore,soluble poly(aryl ether ketone)resin can be used to replace polypropylene,polylactic acid,polyethylene,polyvinyl chloride and other common resins in the previous studies to prepare materials with better properties.At the same time,it can also broaden the application field of high-performance resin.In this paper,jute fiber and soluble poly(aryl ether ketone)were used to prepare composite materials with sound absorption properties,and the proportion of jute fiber in composite materials,preparation method,processing temperature,preparation process,mechanical properties of materials,and sound absorption properties were explored.We found that the use of solid content after 2 wt % alkali treatment of jute fiber,according to a certain proportion of jute fiber,resin and the preparation of presoak expected,in the form of laminated under hot pressing conditions of 210 ℃,1 MPa hot-pressing,the composite material has good sound absorption performance,under the high frequency 2000 Hz ~ 6000 Hz,the average sound absorption coefficient was 0.57 and 0.63,respectively,in combination with mechanical performance comprehensive evaluation,we found that at the same time,in practice,the mechanical properties of composite materials depends on the fiber.Therefore,in order to improve the mechanical properties of composite materials,we added two common reinforced fibers: carbon fiber and glass fiber in the subsequent studies.The overall performance of the composite was better when the total fiber content was 60% and the carbon fiber/glass fiber accounted for 20% of the total fiber weight.The sound absorption composite prepared from glass fiber,jute fiber and soluble poly(aryl ether ketone)was in the range of 2000 Hz ~ 6000 Hz,with an average sound absorption coefficient of 0.61.The sound absorption composite prepared from carbon fiber,jute fiber and soluble poly(aryl ether ketone)was in the range of 2000 Hz ~ 6000 Hz with an average sound absorption coefficient of 0.56.
