Common anti-corrosion coatings usually use epoxy resins,alkyd resins,acrylic resins,etc.as the basic film-forming materials.But with the development of the times,various new polymer materials have emerged in the field of anti-corrosion and become important film-forming resins.Polyaryl ether sulfone resins and polyaryl ether ketone resins are excellent representatives of this new class of materials.Polyphenylene sulfone(PPSU)and polyether ether ketone(PEEK)have the characteristics of high temperature resistance,good mechanical properties,excellent water resistance and solvent resistance,etc.As film-forming materials,PPSU / PEEK composite coatings is an anti-corrosion coating with excellent comprehensive performance.By adding anti-corrosion filler,the anti-corrosion performance of PPSU / PEEK composite coating can also be improved,so that it can be used in more severe corrosive environment.Polyaniline(PANI)is the fastest-growing conductive polymer in recent decades.It has the characteristics of easy availability of raw materials,simple preparation,non-toxic and harmless,and its unique passivation and redox mechanism make it widely used as an anti-corrosion filler.In this paper,a series of PPSU / PEEK / PANI composite coatings were prepared by adding PANI to PPSU / PEEK composite coatings from two perspectives of content and process,and the effect of PANI on the corrosion resistance of composite coatings was studied.First,a series of PPSU / PEEK composite coatings with different amounts of PANI were prepared,and the effect of the addition of PANI on the corrosion resistance of the composite coating was studied.The results show that with the increase of the amount of PANI,the anti-corrosion performance of the composite coating increases first and then decreases.At low addition levels,the addition of PANI improves the corrosion resistance of the coating.At high addition levels,the agglomeration of PANI reduces the corrosion resistance of the coating.When the amount of PANI is 3% of the total mass of the film-forming resin,the anti-corrosion performance of the coating is the best.Secondly,in order to better disperse PANI in the paint,from the perspective of the dispersion process,PANI is dispersed into NMP by wet ball milling to form a PANI / NMP dispersion,and then prepare a series of PPSU / PEEK composite coating containing with different dispersion quality of PANI/NMP.The results show that as the amount of PANI increases,PANI damages the continuity of the coating more and more,and the corrosion resistance gradually decreases.When the amount of PANI is 1% of the total mass of the film-forming resin,the corrosion resistance of the coating is the best.Finally,from the perspective of the coating process,PANI / PPSU primers with different PANI additions and the same PPSU / PEEK double-layer composite coatings were prepared by multi-layer spraying methods.The effect of high addition of PANI and the change of matching coating process on the anti-corrosion performance of the composite coating were studied.The results show that the anti-corrosion performance of the composite coating is the best when the amount of PANI in the primer is 40% of the total mass of solid matter.The results of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy showed that the coating still had anti-corrosive effect at 369 days,and the anticorrosive time was 2.39 times higher than the coating without PANI.In summary,PANI was selected as anti-corrosive filler to be added to PPSU / PEEK composite coatings.The effects of PANI addition,dispersion,and coating process on anticorrosion performance were studied.We finally developed PPSU / PEEK / PANI composite coatings with better corrosion resistance and double-layer coatings,supporting preparation and coating processes.
