The Application Of Ceramic Materials In Chinese Contemporary Art

Ceramics have a long history in our country,because of the development of the times,this ancient material radiates new life in contemporary times.With the empphasis on the use of finished products and the emphasis on expression of ideas in contemporary art,ceramics have been transformed from practical objects into an artistic medium,and the expression of ceramics itself has become a secondary factor.Its cultural connotation and symbolism become the characteristics that artists value and express their ideas.At the same time,the expression of ceramic materials is becoming more and more diverse,such as the combination of metal,glass,light,wood,resin,gypsum and other comprehensive materials,which not only broadens the performance boundary of ceramic materials,And make Chinese contemporary art have a kind of national characteristic.In addition,ceramic materials are also involved in contemporary art forms such as installation art,public art,showy art and so on.Combined with their own advantages,ceramic materials have developed colorful artistic features,thus showing the irreplaceable nature and potential of ceramic materials.Starting from the characteristics of ceramic materials,this paper summarizes the combination of ceramic materials with different synthetic materials and contemporary art forms,and studies the application forms of ceramics in Chinese contemporary art in the way of concrete case analysis.
