The pattern fabric and finished garment are taken as the research objects in the paper.It aims to improve the current situation of slow detection speed,high rate of false detection and miss detection during the quality inspection process.Based on the background of garment and fabric quality inspection and the needs of garment factories,a system of garment and fabric quality inspection has been developed.And the test of the software system on the built hardware platform is completed.This system realizes the identification of four kinds of defects which are commonly found in garment factories.It also realizes the measurement of main parts in common style garment.The design and implementation of the quality inspection system will be introduced.Firstly,this paper analyzes two main requirements in quality inspection process of garment factories: the detection of pattern fabric and the measurement of garment.Then the hardware platform and software system framework are built.Next,the algorithm analysis and processing for the above requirements are carried out.For the detection of the pattern fabric,pre-processing the image is aimed to enhance the defect characteristics.Next,according to the texture characteristics of the fabric,the defects in simple texture or complex texture are identified and analyzed respectively.Meanwhile the blocks with defects are marked.The information is also recorded and fed back.For the measurement of garment,firstly,corner detection algorithm and the feature point screening strategy are combined to locate the feature points of garment.Then the feature points are used to calculate the pixel size of the specific part.Finally,calibration ratio of the system is used to calculate the size of each part of garment.The system compares the results to the standard size and analyzes whether the actual dimensions are qualified.A software system for defect detection of the pattern fabric and garment size measurement is developed.It is divided into three parts: the module of landing,the module of defect detection and the module of garment size measurement.The development process of these three modules is introduced in detail.Finally,the tests are performed on the software system to ensure that the software system can achieve basic functions.The system of garment and fabric quality inspection has improved the actual detection efficiency.The automation and intelligence level of garment factories will be better.
