FDI,Green Technical Innovation And Environmental Quality

At present,China is transforming its economic development mode as thoroughly as possible.The previous mode of "high input,high consumption,high pollution,low efficiency and low technological progress" has restricted the goal of sustainable development seriously and posed severe challenges to resources and the environment in China.Entering a new stage of development,China is trying to transform the driving force of economic development from element-driven to innovation-driven.Therefore technological progress and innovation are not only related to the quality of economic development,but also determine the realization of the target of energy conservation and emission reduction directly,which is a key to China's green development.At the same time,Chine has been one of the countries which absorb the most foreign direct investment in the world for many years,the introduction of foreign capital effectively promoted the development of economy of China,but in the new era of development and under the higher request of development,only pay attention to the scale of foreign capital has been far from adequate.How to attract high quality foreign direct investment into China,how to effectively play the role of technology spillover effect and demonstration effect of FDI,to promote and improve the level of technology in our country and the independent innovation ability,to better serve the green development goals,is really a real big issue.Therefore,this paper puts FDI and green technology innovation into the same framework to study the impact of foreign direct investment,green technology innovation and environmental quality.First in this paper,by elaborating the fundamental theory and mechanism analysis,I disscuss the influence and connection among FDI,green technical innovation and environment quality.And then by buliding evaluation index system and entropy method to measure the situation of pollutant emission in different provinces in China from 2005 to 2015,next,collected the related data of FDI and green technical innovation in China from 2005 to 2015.and finally on the basis of the present situation and the mechanism analysis before,through the establishment of the panel data regression model,to analysis empirically the influence of FDI on the environment quality,the influence of foreign direct investment on the green technical innovation,and the influence of green technical innovation on the quality of the environment.The results show that both foreign direct investment and green technicalinnovation are conducive to energy conservation and emission reduction and environmental quality improvement in China,and green technical innovation ACTS on the effect of foreign direct investment on environmental quality as an intermediary variable.
