The development of China’s iron and steel industry has been restricted since the 12 th Five-Year Plan.By the end of 2015,the supply-side reform has been carried out in an all-round way,and the environmental and financial performance of Chinese iron and steel enterprises have been improved.Now,most of the scholars’ discussions on the relationship between corporate environmental performance and financial performance are based on empirical research based on big data.In this paper,the above results are deeply excavated and analyzed in the form of case studies.The internal relationship and influencing factors between environmental performance and financial performance under the background of supply-side reform in Liugang,Guangxi are discussed.It provides practical references and suggestions for Chinese listed steel enterprises to better solve environmental problems and realize common development of environmental protection economy.The theoretical part of this paper mainly carries on the analysis through the sustainable development theory and the relational performance theory.The case part draws the following conclusions.First,the supply-side reform promotes the improvement of environmental performance.Second,the negative impact of environmental performance on financial performance is immediate.However,Guangxi Liuzhou Iron and Steel Company reduced the pressure of environmental investment on financial performance by taking relevant measures,so that the positive influence can play a long-term role.It also analyses the influencing factors of environmental performance on financial performance of case enterprise.Finally,it puts forward relevant recommendations from the perspective of internal management of enterprises and supervision of government agencies.
