Replacing non-recyclable traditional body materials with green,environmentally friendly,and recyclable materials is a hot spot in the automotive field.In this paper,two kinds of naturally degradable natural fibers,ramie fiber and basalt fiber,were selected as the reinforcing phase.The resin was selected from HS-4430RT?bisphenol A epoxy vinyl ester resin?,and four kinds of composite specimens with different layup configurations were designed and prepared.The mechanical properties of basalt-ramie fiber composites were studied by acoustic emission,low velocity impact and three-point bending experiments.Considering the chemical composition and structure of the plant fiber,in order to improve the weak bonding interface between fiber and matrix,the fiber was alkali treated with NaOH solution.Similarly,the surface of basalt fiber was simply trea ted with coupling agent.After comparative analysis of various molding processes,this paper selected vacuum assisted resin transfer molding process?VARTM?to prepare composite materials.In this paper,[R4]S and[B4]S were used as the control group,[R2/B2]S and[B2/R2]S were used as the experimental group,and the acoustic emission tester was used for non-destructive testing in the tensile test and the fractures of the samples were analyzed.The results show that the introduction of basalt fiber can effectively improves the strength of composites.The tensile strength of hybrid composites is 105%and 150%higher than plant fiber composites.The tensile properties of[R2/B2]S composites are better than other structures.In the low velocity impact condition,the basalt fiber composite has the best impact resistance.The configuration of basalt fiber as the outer layer and ramie fiber as the core layer is better than the configuration of ramie fiber as the outer layer and basalt fiber as the core layer,the specific energy absorption is 5.52%higher and energy absorption efficiency is 4.63%higher respectively under high levelimpact energy.Under the three-point bending test,the hybrid structure with ramie fiber as the core layer has the highest toughness.Studies have shown that the performance of specimens with different configurations under the same load conditions is quite different.In actual engineering design,it needs to be determined according to the specific conditions of use.Considering the shortcomings of traditional automotive materials,this paper proposes and designs composite specimens with different configurations.The mechanical properties such as tensile,energy absorption and bending properties of composites are studied by experiments.The characteristics of different configuration materials under the same load condition are compared and analyzed,which provides a certain reference value for the research of environmentally friendly materials.
