| An application of Integration of analysis of Reservoir Static and Dynamic Data in reservoir characterization and field development is carried out for the research for this thesis. The real data of Jin Gas Field of L-Basin of Pakistan is used.During initial stage of Jin Gas Field development, there is an ambiguity regarding the nature of fault i.e.sealing or non sealing.Because of this ambiguity the potential area for new development well was not clear. This ambiguity is solved in this research by integration of well test analysis with Material Balance Method,Volumetric Method,Decline Curve Analysis and Numerical Simulation Method. These methods are used in such a manner that every method verifies the result of other method and in the end nature of fault is determined which is found to be non sealing in this case. After the successful investigation for nature of fault the leakage factor of fault is estimated through history matching. This performance evaluation of Jin Gas Reservoir confirmed the reservoir drive mechanism, pressure distribution and depletion dynamics,Initial gas in place, reservoir potential area and future behavior of the reservoir. In this integration the results of each method are justified with other method therefore an optimal and economical field development is possible by following this technique. This work gives a proper methodology and algorithm for any complete reservoir study and also opens new windows for further research in integration of different methods, techniques and tools of Reservoir Engineering. |
