Curing Speed Research On UV Offset Printing Inks

The UV curing ink is a kind of green,sustainable and environment friendly inks,which is widely accepted in printing industry.It has much superiority and will be the general trend in the future.And more and more printing enterprises transfer to use UV curing inks.The offset UV ink is the most common used among all printing methods,and to accelerate the curing speed is one of the most popular topics for inks manufactories.Lots of factors may influence the curing speed,including internal and external ones.External factors contain the UV light and Oxygen,and internal factors contain components of inks.This article aims to evaluate the influence of these components on curing speed,and find a plan to obviously improve the curing speed in UV offset inks.Firstly,the thesis studies on the influence of photo initiators.We evaluate the dosage of PIs,and find the optimum one.For pigments of different color,the absorbing property of UV light is also quite different,so in this part,we evaluate the curing performance of many sorts of photo initiators in various colors of ink,and continuously optimize the performance.At last we find the best combination of photo initiators and their best dosage to meet the target.The other part is focusing on other components of UV offset inks,which also impact the curing speed.The key word of this part is balance.For pigments,the most suitable content must be found to balance the curing speed and color strength.For the choice of monomers and oligomers,we need to balance the curing speed and other important properties.Some raw materials have excellent curing performance,but adhesion and flexibility are quire poor.So they are not able to be the main body,but they may be used to be the supplementary to improve the curing speed.Besides,for the stabilizer,the balance of curing speed and storage stability is also important.The research result of the thesis is a series of solutions to improve the curing speed,which could quickly resolve the curing problems and obviously boost the work efficiency.It’s quite helpful to daily work.
