Research Of Ideology And Practice In Water Environment Constraction Of Su Tungpo

With the development of city sprawl and population explosion,modern cities were built following the urban construction theories developed from the Industrial Revolution,which excessively depend on engineering measures,causing separation of urban natural system and serious environmental problems,the deterioration of water environment is one of them.In the thousands of years of struggle with water,our ancestors have created a series of effective methods for the construction,use,and management of urban water systems.The Northern Song Dynasty was no doubt as a climax of water conservancy construction in our history.Su Tungpo,as a representative of the Northern Song Dynasty literati officials,had built over 20 hectares water environmental projects and more than 60 poems and articles directly related to water environment construction in his life,providing valuable materials for us to study the wisdom of the water environment construction of the literati in the Northern Song Dynasty.The first chapter of this paper firstly expounds the source of the topic and defines the concept of “water environment” and “construction”,then,the literature reviews about Su in the fields of human settlements science,water science and human history are made separately.At last,the purpose,content,significance and method of this paper are clearly introduced.The second chapter mainly elaborates on the background of Su's life,including the society environment,the water conservancy construction environment and his own political career.The third chapter divides Su's political career into three periods,for each period selects three or four important water environment construction cases to do the research.Besides,Su's water environment construction activities are divided into three categories: lake water environment construction,channel water environment construction and urban headwaters environment construction,the characteristics and evolution rules of various construction activities in various periods are expounded,and eight functional benefits of water environment construction activities are extracted.The fourth chapter is a special study on the construction of lake water environment,it analyzes the mountain,water,city,embankment,island,bridge and building of East Lake in Fengxiang,West Lake in Hangzhou,West Lake in Yingzhou and West Lake in Huizhou,and discusses the formation of “West Lake pattern” under the influence of Su.On the basis of the preceding chapters,the fifth chapter summarizes the water environment construction thoughts of Su,including the reasonable thoughts of water conservancy,the practical thoughts of science and technology,the organic thoughts of spatial environment,the benevolent thoughts of city development and poetic thoughts of natural aesthetic.The last chapter,as the conclusion part of this paper,further summarizes the results of this research and expounds the existing inadequacies and future works.
