| The alkali excited reaction between ground granulated blast-furnace slag(GGBS)and waterglass was used,and the waterproof coating based on polymer and waterglass activated slag was prepared by using high elastic styrene-acrylate copolymer emulsion as the raw material.The design concept referred to the JS waterproof coating formulations(two components A and B were used for batching).On the basis of previous studies,the raw materials for coatings were selected through the investigation,including the selection of emulsion,type and modulus of waterglass,mineral powder,and the optimization of the specific ratio of each component.And then according to the requirements of the GB/T23445-2009,mechanical properties(including tensile strength and breaking elongation)of the waterproof coating were tested.On the premise of meeting the requirements of the national standard,several groups of better formulations of the new waterproof coating were sought.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Coating formulations:Three types of polymer emulsions,two types of active slag,and two types of waterglass with different modules were used to prepare the waterproof coating based on polymer and waterglass activated slag during the experiment.Under the film-forming conditions,two suitable ratios of emulsion and water glass in component A were obtained,the mass ratio of emulsion to waterglass should be 7:3 and 4:1.In the later stage,through the mechanical properties test after film formation,a formula that met the mechanical properties requirements of the coating in GB/T 23445-2009 was obtained.Under the formula of styrene-acrylate emulsion,water glass A,and the mass ratio of emulsion and waterglass was4:1,when the modulus of water glass was 1.75,using S95 mineral powder in component B,and the mechanical properties of the coating film met the technical specificationsⅡrequired in GB/T 23445-2009.(2)Waterglass modulus:Waterglass was used as a stimulant in the new waterproof coating based on polymer and waterglass activated slag.The concentration,modulus and amount of waterglass were critical to the mechanical properties of the coating.Through the FT-IR technology observation of the coating film with a waterglass modulus of 1.75,the C-S-H gel formed in the waterproof coating had a high degree of polymerization.Through the TG-DTG test,it was found that the C-S-H gel and the content of CaCO3 crystals was high,and the degree of reaction between the emulsion and the waterglass stimulating the activated the GGBS was high.FE-SEM test results showed that there was a mechanical bond between the nanoscale CaCO3 crystals and CaCO3 particles in the new waterproof coating.(3)Emulsion selection:The main comparative analysis of the impact of the three copolymer emulsions on the physical properties of the coating film,and from the reaction process,mineral composition,microstructure and other aspects to explore the internal reasons affecting its physical properties.The conclusions were as follows:Compared with the waterproof coating prepared by the other two emulsions,styrene-acrylate emulsion was more suitable for the new waterproof coating,and had excellent mechanical properties.This was due to the maximum degree of reaction,which generated more C-S-H gel. |
