| Since the signing of the Kyoto Protocol in 1997,the clean development mechanism(CDM),as the only international cooperation mechanism that allows developing countries to participate directly in carbon emission reduction,has provided new ideas and valuable experience for the cause of carbon emission reduction in the world.As the largest host country of the world's CDM,China has implemented the largest number,the most comprehensive types and the largest emission reduction CDM projects.China is undoubtedly the developing country with the highest participation in and the greatest impact on the CDM since its implementation.Therefore,studying the impact of the CDM on China is of great significance for fully excavating its experience and lessons to guide and promote the further development of domestic and foreign carbon emission reductions.This study analyzed the impact of CDM on China from the perspective of energy and environment.According to the project type,regional distribution and emission reduction status,this paper analyzed the basic development process,status and achievements of China's CDM projects.It was found that the overall CDM project structure of China was biased towards new energy and renewable energy,the regional distribution was concentrated in the central and western regions,and the registration and issuance ratio was low.Based on the study of the development of China's CDM projects,this study also analyzed the energy efficiency of the CDM.First,by combining different types of renewable energy and comparing the development of CDM renewable energy project with the overall development of renewable energy industry,it proved that the CDM played an important role in promoting the development of renewable energy industry in China.Then the correlation coefficient test was used to analyze the correlation between the registration of renewable energy projects and the certified carbon emission reduction transaction revenue provided by the CDM,and qualitatively demonstrated the role of the CDM in increasing the enthusiasm of renewable energy project investment.Finally,on the basis of qualitative analysis,this paper taken CDM wind power project as an example to build an economic evaluation model of internal rate of return,quantitatively analyzed the impact of carbon emission reduction trading income introduced by CDM on the economic feasibility of renewable energy projects,and confirmed that the implementation of CDM was the key factor to improve the investment attraction of renewable energy projects.In addition,this paper also analyzed the environmental benefits of the CDM.According to different types of projects,this paper clarified the carbon emission reduction mechanism of CDM,and organized the carbon emission reduction accounting system of various projects.The impact of CDM on China's ecological and social environment was analyzed and summarized,and the importance of CDM for China's environmental sustainable development was demonstrated.Combined with the development process and current situation of the domestic and foreign carbon trading markets,this paper analyzed the impact of the CDM on the carbon trading market environment,and confirmed the key guiding role of the CDM in China's carbon emission trading pilot and the establishment of voluntary emission reduction mechanism. |
