In the paper,the optimization of test conditions and design of photochromic fabric were studied.Firstly,1 / 3 twill,5 / 8 satin,plain and different interweaving modes fabrics were woven with 16.6tex photochromic viscose fibre.The effect of discoloration at a certain irradiating distance,a certain irradiating time and a certain test temperature was measured,then,the influence and significance of test conditions and fabric texture on color change were analyzed,and the test conditions of color change performance were optimized.Finally,the design of photochromic knitted fabric and embroidery pattern of fan were developed by using photochromic viscose fiber.The results show that the test conditions have significant effects on the hue,brightness,saturation and apparent color depth of photochromic fabric.Among them,the color change effect of the fabric is increasing in the ultraviolet irradiation time within 10 s to 40 s,and it is decreasing after the irradiation time is more than 40 s.With the increase of UV irradiation distance and test temperature,the fabric's color changing effect shows a decreasing trend.The optimal test conditions for the color change effect of photochromic fabrics are as follows: the irradiation distance is that the UV light source adheres to the fabric surface,the ultraviolet irradiation time is about 40 s and the test temperature is about 25?C.the order of the influence of test conditions on the discoloration effect is as follows: test temperature,irradiation distance,irradiation time.Fabric structure and interweaving mode have significant influence on hue,brightness,saturation and apparent color depth of fabric.After the fabric changes color,the order of the influence of fabric structure on the color change effect is: plain weave,twill weave,satin weave,and the order of the influence of weaving mode is that the color change effect of the fabrics with both warp and weft yarns using color change viscose filament is the best,followed by the fabrics with color change and ordinary viscose filament cycling of 1:1 for weft yarn,and the fabrics with ordinary viscose filament for weft yarn have the worst color change effect.Through the above exploration of the influence and significance of the test conditions and fabric texture on the discoloration effect,it has certain reference value for the selection of test conditions,test methods and standard formulation of the photochromic effect.
