Research On Concrete Surface Treatment Technology Based On Spatial Experience | | Posted on:2021-01-09 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:D Zhang | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2381330620466591 | Subject:Degree in architecture (professional) | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Since the 20 th century,concrete has been widely used in architecture.As one of the most important building materials,concrete can not only be used as structural material,but also as a direct exposed surface material,which is used by a large number of excellent architectural works with its unique artistic expression.But the concrete is cold and hard,so it is not suitable for facing material.In order to express the authenticity of construction,architects have to find ways to study the surface treatment technology to improve the performance of concrete facing.The focus on the surface of materials originated from the theory and practice of Gottfried Semper(1803-1879)and Adolf Loos(1870-1933)in the mid-19 th century.It is the surface of materials that encloses the space for the first time,and the structure just plays a supporting role.Based on the research of Semper,Loos puts forward the "principle of cladding" and emphasizes the importance of material surface for space experience.Based on Semper’s and Loos’ s "theory of surface decoration",this paper studies the three different concrete performance orientations represented by Le Corbusier(1887-1965),Louis I.Kahn(1901-1974)and Carlo Scarpa(1906-1978)when using concrete as a material.Le Corbusier began to explore the "rough" concrete building in 1930,and then Kahn developed a more refined and abstract concrete building road.The emphasis on decoration and craftsmanship makes Carlo Scarpa different from the first two architects.In his architecture,history,decoration and traditional craftsmanship have become important design factors.The design ideas represented by the three architects have an important impact on the architectural practice of later generations.Through the comparative analysis of the three different orientations of concrete surface performance,this paper studies the surface treatment process,and discusses the relationship between concrete surface treatment process and space experience.Concrete surface treatment is not only the way for architects to refine materials,but also the emphasis on body perception,as well as the manifestation of emotion and personality. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Concrete, Surface treatment technology, Spatial experience, Le Corbusier, Louis·I·Kahn, Carlo Scarpa | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
