Cuprous oxide is an oxide of monovalent copper with an absorption spectrum in the visible region. As a typical P-type semiconductor material,it has a series of typical physics or chemical properties when the particle size is in the nanometer or submicron range. Therefore,it has certain application prospects in the field of photocatalysis. In this paper,we focus on the photocatalytic properties of cuprous oxide materials, and successfully improve the photocatalytic performance of cuprous oxide micro/nano materials. The relevant experimental contents are as follows:?1?The octahedral cuprous oxide micro-nano particles were successfully prepared by liquid phase method and the experimental parameters were optimized. The experimental results showed that the increase of precursor concentration will reduce the surface smoothness of cuprous oxide micro-nano particles and make the product Agglomeration occurs.Increasing the amount of reducing agent hydrazine hydrate will reduce the particle size, and the copper will be formed when the reducing agent is excessive. The optimal experimental conditions were selected by experiments to prepare smooth octahedral cuprous oxide micro-nano particles.?2?The adsorption performance of single octahedral cuprous oxide micro-nano particles was studied. At the same time,it is preliminarily proved that the cuprous oxide micro-nanoparticles have photocatalytic degradation ability to the methyl orange solution of simulated organic wastewater.,but the degradation time is too long, the degradation efficiency is only about 35%in 90 min.?3?The Cu/Cu2O micro/nano particles were successfully prepared by hydrogen reduction annealing method. Then we exploring the process of hydrogen reduction of cuprous oxide. The experimental results showed that the best photocatalytic efficiency of the product is the hydrogen reduction annealing time between 10-30 min.It has 95%degradation rate of methyl orange solution in 90 min. However,if the hydrogen reduction annealing time is too long, the composite product will lose its photocatalytic performance.
