We selected the Feicui Lake and the Tanchong River in Hefei as the site to test the efficacy of graphene visible-light photocatalysis?GVLP?,a new water treatment technology to improve water quality in black,odorous rivers and lakes in urban landscapes.A water quality model of the Tanchong River and the Feicui Lake was constructed using the WASP?water quality analysis simulation program?model and the MIKE11 model.The simulation of water quality in the water treated by GVLP was verified by the Tanchong River and the Feicui Lake water quality improvement project experiment.The research content and main conclusions are as follows:?1?Applying the MIKE11 hydrodynamic water quality model,the main pollutants are COD,NH3-N and TP as indicators,which can effectively simulate GVLP on the water quality improvement effect of urban landscape rivers.The results showed that the average relative errors of the simulated and detected values of COD,NH3-N,TP in the water of the experimental section of the Tanchong River were 10.64%,18.02%,6.03%,respectively.The treated average relative errors between the simulated and detected values of COD,NH3-N and TP were 15.52%,18.47%,and 5.27%,respectively.After treatment with GVLP,within four months,the experimental section of the Tanchong River has been upgraded from the inferior Class V water quality standard in the Chinese Environmental Quality Standard for Surface Water?GB3838-2002?to the Class IV?COD?30mg/L,NH3-N?1.5mg/L,TP?0.3mg/L?.?2?Applying the WASP water quality model,the numerical simulation method was used to model the concentrations of the main pollutants indicators—DO,COD,NH3-N and TP concentrations.The results showed that the average relative errors between the simulated and measured values of DO,COD,NH3-N,TP treated with GVLP are 12.13%,7.67%,7.01%,11.58%,respectively.The WASP model can effectively simulate the effect of GVLP technology on water quality improvement.Within 92 days,the water quality of the test section was upgraded from being inferior to Class V to Class IV,as defined in the Chinese Environmental Quality Standards for Surface Water?GB3838-2002?.?3?Based on the simulation results of the water quality model,the water quality improvement effect of GVLP can be verified,thus proving GVLP's viability as a treatment for controlling water pollution in similar black,odorous water.
